Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers with a 5-year all-stages survival rate of 13%. Early detection is key as early-stage tumors are usually resectable (operable). Though only 15-20% of tumors are resectable at diagnosis, these patients tend to have better survival rates. .Unresectable pancreatic cancer median survival is typically 13-18 months. The current standard of care is surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. For unresectable pancreatic cancer, chemotherapy is standard. At Vera Bio, we’re developing a new therapy for unresectable pancreatic cancer.
